What a project we’ve just wrapped up in Shepherds Bush! This stunning Victorian terrace needed both repointing and some serious restoration work.
The building had all the classic problems you see with these grand old properties – mortar joints that had given up the ghost, and several bricks that were beyond saving. But that’s exactly the sort of challenge we love tackling.
We started by carefully removing damaged bricks and hunting down perfect replacements that matched the original Victorian ones. Then came the detailed repointing work, making sure every joint was filled with mortar that’ll stand up to London weather whilst keeping that authentic period look.
It’s taken a few weeks, but seeing this beautiful building restored to its former glory has been absolutely worth it. The difference is incredible – from tired and weathered to proud and weatherproof.
These Victorian properties are real treasures, and they deserve the specialist care that keeps them looking magnificent for the next generation.
